A New Idea for Bible Study at Home, Technology + Your Kids, and More

Hello! This week, we've been busy soaking up the first whispers of Fall. It's one of my favorite seasons, and I love the chance to break out my sweaters and sip on my coffee outside. If you are looking for a Fall recipe, check out this butternut squash soup. It's one of my Fall favorites.

Now, take a moment to grab a cup of coffee or tea and sit for a minute as we go through our weekly round-up of all the things happening at A More Beautiful Life Collective.

Some Beautiful Things

  • What I'm reading: I just finished Reset Your Child's Brain which was the basis of the podcast for this week. In the podcast, I give a great overview of what the author, Victoria Dunckley, says about screens. If you are interested, I really encourage you to read it! Now, I'm reading I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jeanette Harris. Jeanette Harris, who starred in iCarly and its later spin-off, was one of the child actors that I loved growing up. Little did I know, she experienced abuse and trauma during her time in Hollywood. I've heard really good things about this book. Have you read it? You can message me on Instagram, and let me know what you think!
  • What I'm listening to: This Daily Grace Co. Podcast on Women and the Home with Jean Pollock Michel. In the episode, they give a really measured and thoughtful response to how we should perceive our role as homemakers. It's definitely worth a listen!
  • What I'm loving: My Crockpot! Fall is the perfect time to do all the crockpot recipes. You can find a great collection of Crockpot recipes from the Passionate Penny Pincher here. I use these recipes weekly!
  • Check out The Purpose Planner on Etsy! I've been working on creating a planner for home, work, school, and life. Let me know what you think! You can get 50% off with the code: HABITS.

I earn a small commission when you purchase something through the links above at no cost to you! It's a win-win for both of us! I appreciate your support!

Hey friends! I hope everyone had a lovely Easter! We are settling into the Spring Routines, including starting seedlings, planning out gardens, and picking out homeschool curriculum for next year. As we move into the Spring months, I start to get Spring fever. I am so ready for summer, including the pool, the beach, and long summer days! As the season changes, I like to take a moment to reassess my goals. I post regularly on Instagram about some of these goals, as well as ideas and...

Hey friends, and hello Spring! The past few weeks have been a whirlwind. A few weeks ago, I went to a lovely women's retreat with some ladies from my church. There's something so special about leaving the distractions and busyness of life and spending some time in God's word with like-minded believers. Then, the following weekend, I went to the Great Homeschool Convention. It was a great weekend! Do you homeschool? I'd love it if you responded and let me know! It got my wheels turning for...

Hey friends! Rising costs mean rising stress, doesn't it? I was just talking with some friends about the costs of take-out meals. What used to be a $5-6 meal has bloomed into $10-12! Take that combined with growing families, and sometimes, it can feel like you are at the end of your rope. You can't seem to make the ends meet. As Christians, we have a different view of money. Money is not just something that strive to accumulate more of to buy nice things for ourselves. We don't use money to...
