Why You Need a Personal Statement of Faith + FREE Guide to Creating One!

Hey friends, and hello Spring!

The past few weeks have been a whirlwind. A few weeks ago, I went to a lovely women's retreat with some ladies from my church. There's something so special about leaving the distractions and busyness of life and spending some time in God's word with like-minded believers.

Then, the following weekend, I went to the Great Homeschool Convention. It was a great weekend! Do you homeschool? I'd love it if you responded and let me know! It got my wheels turning for next year when we will start officially schooling my oldest.

After that, we went to the beach for a few days to catch a glimpse of the beauty of Southern azaleas. The weather was perfect, and the views were stunning.

On the blog, we've been talking about creating a method for Christian living. Often, we come to faith, and then, we are left wondering: "How should we then live?"

This is the focus of countless podcasts, books, blogs, and more. But, our study to answer this question often is piecemeal; we bounce around from idea to idea with no real method. This is why we are talking about a step-by-step approach to create a way of Christian living that is biblically based and practically minded.

This method is inspired by Charlotte Mason - an 19th century educator and inspiration in the homeschool community today - who developed a list of 20 principles which then informed her method of education. You can get a downloadable copy of her principles here.

We've covered the first two steps so far: 1. Writing a Personal Statement of Faith and 2. Creating a list of Christian Virtues to Base Your Life on.

I'm excited to give you a FREE copy of our workbook on creating your personal statement of faith. You can download "We Believe" below!

Stay tuned next week for the next step in creating a method of Christian Living AND a BRAND NEW study on systematic theology! (I've been working hard on this one, and you won't want to miss it!

Hey friends! I hope everyone had a lovely Easter! We are settling into the Spring Routines, including starting seedlings, planning out gardens, and picking out homeschool curriculum for next year. As we move into the Spring months, I start to get Spring fever. I am so ready for summer, including the pool, the beach, and long summer days! As the season changes, I like to take a moment to reassess my goals. I post regularly on Instagram about some of these goals, as well as ideas and...

Hey friends! Rising costs mean rising stress, doesn't it? I was just talking with some friends about the costs of take-out meals. What used to be a $5-6 meal has bloomed into $10-12! Take that combined with growing families, and sometimes, it can feel like you are at the end of your rope. You can't seem to make the ends meet. As Christians, we have a different view of money. Money is not just something that strive to accumulate more of to buy nice things for ourselves. We don't use money to...

Hey friends! This week has been a 'reset' week. Have you ever needed one of those? I spent some time trying to sort through my piled-up to-do lists while also just taking some time to rest and breathe. In my Bible reading plan, I just finished the book of Leviticus. Often, this is where reading plans go to die, but there is such great truth here. I often marvel at David's description of the law of the Lord, "The law of the LORD is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the LORD are...
